Occurring troube related to the leakage (the draining) of oil from the gearbox in a part of Opel models is damage of the leak-stopper "selector". This element with the passage of years runs down and then there is a need to replace it. I'll present on the figure the operations to be done. Contrary to appearances, this is not a very complicated operation and anyone who has a flair will manage to do that without problems. Set in neutral, we shall pull out the split (safety under the articulated joint, take out the bolt, and put the "forks" aside. We unscrew four screws (spanner 11): The lid should be delicately pried off to go out of the dowels. Then we lift the more rear side (from the cab), slightly twist it up, raise it and take it out. We take the Seger's ring out, gently holding pad with spring so as not to spring out: We lift and take out the selector, and then we have to dislocate the blocking pin (on the left there is) a bigger hollow in which after dislocating it is well-suited): We pull out and take the forks with the tongue out of the selector: We take out the old leak stopper by prying it off or pushing and we push delicately the new one (13-26-7/7,5 nr. GM 90344831 or of another firm) - (we don't need a hammer): We pull out the forks with the tongue to the lid installing an element of the selector, set for the blocking pin, and then insert it (stick it delicately): We put the selectorr on the place, while tucking it, we put it on the knob. Then the spring, pad, and we put on the place the Seger's ring: Obviouslyy, the part is prepared to be put and cleant beforehand: On the cleant place (especially of the junction of the elements) we put a new gasket, in case of missing it we make it. We can delicately grease it with oil to make it soft: An then, we put the selector in reverse order to pulling out i.e. first with tipped "crosshead" and we delicately (not to damage the gasket) put it on the dowels. We screw the lid with 4 screws: We put the articulated joint on the place, and then the bolt and the split (protection). We check whether the gears change. Start it, drive it and don't worry about the leaks from the selector.
